The Series B was led by GreenField Ventures and will cover factory tooling, regulatory testing, and field trials. Verdant’s sprayers combine LiDAR navigation, crop-health imaging, and variable-rate application to target only affected tree zones.
The company claims the system can reduce chemical usage by up to 45% by applying treatment precisely where sensors detect disease or stress. Each unit includes a detachable compute pod that processes imagery on-site and uploads anonymized health metrics to a farm dashboard.
Verdant will offer a subscription model with hardware-as-a-service and agronomic support. Farmers participating in the pilot will have early access to machine-learning updates that refine detection models for different crop varieties.
