Verde Systems unveils modular smart display 'VerdeCanvas' for offices, raises $18M seed

VerdeCanvas targets hybrid teams with a magnetic tile system that scales displays up to 8K by combining multiple modules. Each module includes tactile sensing, local compute for handwriting recognition, and mesh connectivity to synchronize canvases across rooms and remote participants.

The company raised $18 million in seed financing from workplace-focused investor CollectiveLabs and a roster of enterprise SaaS angels. Funding will be used to scale manufacturing, expand cloud collaboration features, and complete certification for enterprise security standards.

Verde Systems highlights privacy-first features: on-device inference for handwriting and redaction, hardware kill-switches for microphones and cameras, and enterprise admin controls. VerdeCanvas is available for preorder to pilot partners with shipments expected in Q1 2027.
