Verity launches bias-detection API for production AI with $18M seed to commercialize fairness tooling
AI · 5 min read
Verity’s API plugs into model inference pipelines to flag bias indicators and recommend real-time mitigation actions such as input re-weighting, guardrails, or alternative model invocation. It supports text, vision, and multimodal models and provides explainability reports tailored to compliance teams.
The $18 million seed was led by Equitable Ventures with participation from two compliance-focused funds. Verity intends to expand coverage for international regulations, hire data scientists with domain experience, and build SI partnerships for enterprise rollouts.
Early customers include fintechs and HR platforms where fairness concerns are material. The startup highlights that its product is audit-first: all detections are logged and packaged for external auditors and regulatory reporting.
