Vertex AI Composer's visual workflow editor lets engineers and designers compose prompt graphs: branching prompts, conditional routing, and fallbacks across multiple models. The interface integrates model versions, adapters, and runtime transforms in a drag-and-drop canvas.

Composer also embeds observability: per-node latency and token costs, output quality metrics, and drift alerts when prompt effectiveness declines. The goal is to give product teams a single place for both experimentation and controlled rollout of prompt-driven features.

Google positioned the editor for enterprise use cases where safety, auditing, and explainability matter. Customers can export reproducible workflow definitions and use built-in comparators to A/B test prompt variations and model combinations before a staged rollout.
