Verve secures $45M to commercialize real-time conversational voice AI

Verve announced a $45 million Series A led by North Ridge Capital, with strategic investment from a major telecom OEM. The company focuses on real-time conversational voice AI optimized for edge devices, claiming sub-200ms turn-around in constrained hardware environments.

Product plans include an SDK for Android Automotive and consumer electronics, plus a managed cloud offering for contact centers. Verve says the new capital will scale its model-optimization pipeline and support live deployments with three regional carriers testing voice-based routing and troubleshooting.

Designers and UX teams are being looped in early: Verve introduced a new toolkit that lets designers script conversational flows, define tone of voice, and preview emotional cues. The company stresses privacy-by-design, offering on-device inference and selective telemetry to satisfy enterprise compliance needs.
