Volt Robotics Raises $60M to Ship Modular Warehouse Picking Robots

Volt Robotics closed a $60 million Series B to manufacture modular picking robots that can adapt to mixed-SKU fulfillment lines and constrained warehouse aisles.

The robots feature swappable end-effectors—soft grippers, suction, and precision fingers—and an AI vision stack trained on millions of SKU shots for accurate grasp planning. Volt’s demo showed a single robot handling cartons, polybags, and fragile items with minimal reconfiguration.

The company is shipping a pilot fleet to three major e-commerce logistics providers, offering managed deployment and integration with WMS systems. Volt emphasizes ROI through reduced pick error rates and faster throughput on complex orders.

The round will expand production, build out edge compute for low-latency perception, and grow service operations. Volt also announced partnerships with automation integrators to scale full-zone robotization.
