VoltFrame Launches Low-Code AR Builder After $40M Series A

VoltFrame’s Series A round was led by NorthStar Capital and marks a rapid rise for the startup, founded in 2022 to simplify AR production. The company says the funding will expand cloud rendering, develop mobile SDKs, and launch enterprise support packages targeting retail, logistics, and industrial inspection.
VoltStudio, the new low-code environment, features drag-and-drop 3D asset placement, web-based preview, and prebuilt templates for product try-ons and guided maintenance. Designers can import CAD files, add hotspots, and publish experiences to iOS/Android and web AR without writing shaders or deploying servers.
Early adopters include a European furniture chain that rolled out in-store AR previews and a telecom operator using AR overlays for field technicians. VoltFrame touts a 60% acceleration in deployment time compared to traditional AR development cycles.
The company positions VoltStudio as complementary to heavy-duty engines like Unity and Unreal, focusing on speed and ease rather than photorealistic fidelity. VoltFrame plans a community marketplace for templates and assets, and has opened an enterprise pilot program for new customers.
