VoltGrid announces HyperPack solid-state battery pack and raises $38M Series B

HyperPack is a compact, modular solid-state battery designed for rugged consumer and industrial use cases, offering faster charge cycles and a reduced risk profile. VoltGrid also supports hot-swappable modules for field-replaceable power augmentation.

The $38 million Series B was led by Summit Ridge with participation from a few automotive-focused strategic investors. VoltGrid will use the funds to scale pilot manufacturing and pursue automotive certification pathways for accessory markets.

VoltGrid says HyperPack's chemistry and thermal design reduce the need for heavy cooling systems, making it suitable for portable EV range extenders, professional camera rigs, and remote sensing equipment. The product ships with a developer API for monitoring and battery management.

Initial shipments are limited to enterprise customers, with consumer SKUs planned for mid-2027. VoltGrid expects partnerships with outdoor gear brands and broadcast hardware makers as early go-to-market channels.
