Voltix unveils two-hour home EV charger and raises $45M Series B

The Voltix Home 150kW charger uses advanced thermal management and adaptive current arbitration to deliver high power on single-phase or split-phase home supplies where local codes allow. It includes smart scheduling, vehicle-aware charging profiles, and a compact form factor for garage installations.

The $45 million Series B was led by DriveCap Partners and will help Voltix certify its hardware across regions, invest in installation partnerships, and expand warehousing to meet strong pre-order demand. Voltix highlighted safety features and dynamic grid-friendly charging modes to minimize heavy load during peak hours.

Critics warned about electrical infrastructure limits in older homes and potential permitting friction; Voltix says it will offer site assessment tools and partnered installers to reduce friction. The product launches with fleet-focused telemetry tools to help small businesses manage charging costs.
