VoxArc Raises $200M for Spatial Audio Headset and SDK
Tech · 5 min read
VoxArc, founded by audio engineers from leading game studios, raised capital from immersive hardware investors and a consortium of game publishers. The funding will be used to finalize a consumer headset that prioritizes accurate head-related transfer function (HRTF) rendering and low-latency wireless audio.
The company released a developer preview of its SpatialSound SDK, which offers per-object occlusion, room modeling, and networked audio synchronization. VoxArc claims its software achieves sub-6ms end-to-end latency on compatible mobile devices, addressing a common barrier for live AR and VR experiences.
Early partners include two mid-size studios building multiplayer AR titles and a remote music collaboration app experimenting with personalized spatial mixes. VoxArc plans a limited hardware run in Q4 and an open SDK release for engine integrations in early 2027.
