VoxelPlay raises $35M and launches ForgePlay toolkit for user-generated 3D game content

Gaming platform VoxelPlay announced a $35M Series B led by North Ridge and rolled out ForgePlay, a toolkit that combines simplified voxel-based modeling, automated LODs, and one-click deployment across PC, mobile, and cloud streaming. The company intends ForgePlay to be the standard authoring pipeline for user-generated 3D content in live games.

ForgePlay emphasizes a lightweight editor, integrated moderation and asset provenance systems, and a runtime microtransaction framework for creators to monetize their content. VoxelPlay highlighted partnerships with two mid-sized live-service studios for integration trials this fall.

The funding will go toward scaling content moderation AI, expanding server capacity, and enhancing creator discovery features. VoxelPlay also announced a creator fund to seed high-potential UGC projects and a revenue share program to attract talent from social gaming communities.
