Waypoint Studio Releases VR Prototyping Suite and Raises $12M to Advance Spatial Design Tools
Design · 4 min read
Waypoint's suite lets designers sketch spatial interactions directly in VR with physics-based objects and haptic feedback integration. The platform includes templates for common AR/VR patterns and records interaction traces developers can replay in runtime engines for testing.
Collaboration features enable stakeholders to join sessions remotely, leave time-stamped annotations, and capture user-flow recordings for usability analysis. Waypoint emphasizes export fidelity: prototypes can be converted into Unity/Unreal scenes or light-weight runtime packages that preserve interaction logic.
The $12 million round will be used to scale headless-device builds, integrate with major spatial OS platforms, and develop tooling for enterprise deployment. Waypoint plans to open a limited enterprise beta focusing on retail and training applications next quarter.
