Still, the positioning can be opaque when users want to verify identity across devices—UX patterns here prioritize minimal disruption over comprehensive user education.

Design trade-offs are evident in backups and database exports. Cloud backups introduce an opt-in surface that weakens end-to-end guarantees but improves continuity.
