Zeplin 2026 update offers AI-driven handoff with code-aware suggestions

Zeplin's assistant analyzes design files and produces code-aware suggestions for CSS, React components, and SwiftUI views. It flags potential mismatches such as inconsistent spacing or font tokens and suggests remediation steps that developers can accept or modify.

The tool also attempts to infer complex behaviors, like infinite lists or drag-and-drop interactions, and proposes skeletons for the logic that developers can refine. Zeplin added versioned handoff artifacts so teams can track changes proposed by the AI and who accepted them.

On privacy, Zeplin offers team admins controls to require approval workflows for AI-suggested changes and to disable cloud-based inference for sensitive projects. The company launched the feature in public beta with an enterprise roadmap based on customer feedback.
