Zeplin 5 introduces AI-powered handoff previews and accessibility fixes

Zeplin's new AI previews analyze exported designs and flag potential implementation friction: ambiguous spacing, unbound components, and navigation inconsistencies. For each issue, the tool proposes concrete fixes — updated constraint rules, token suggestions, or simplified component structures — and shows before-and-after previews.

On accessibility, Zeplin surfaces a prioritized list of problems including contrast, tab order, and missing ARIA labels, with code snippets and suggested copy for screen readers. The goal is to reduce the back-and-forth by giving developers ready-to-implement fixes in the handoff package.

Zeplin 5 also improved its integration with storybooks and component libraries, allowing engineers to pull suggested fixes as PRs and designers to accept changes directly from the Zeplin interface. Teams can toggle automation levels so smaller shops can get more aggressive suggestions while enterprises may prefer review-based workflows.
