Zeplin Competitor 'FlowSpec' Debuts with AI Model for Design-to-Code Contracts
Tech · 5 min read
FlowSpec's new offering automatically generates contract documents from designs that detail prop schemas, interaction timing, expected resource budgets and test cases. The model analyzes frames and component states to create precise developer-friendly specifications and unit-style acceptance checks.
Contracts are exportable as JSON schema files and include a human-readable summary, suggested test vectors, and recommended performance limits. FlowSpec also offers a verification tool that compares implemented UI against the contract and surfaces discrepancies.
Targeting scale-ups, FlowSpec is pricing the service by project and offers integrations with CI pipelines so mismatches can create flagged PR comments. The company sells the product as complementary to existing design systems rather than a replacement.
